Where I’ll be at Boskone 57

Hey everyone! I’m excited to be participating in this year’s Boskone conference in downtown Boston from February 14-16. I’ve got a reading scheduled, and I’m moderating my first panel. If you’re in town, and love geeking out over speculative fiction, come out and say hi! There’s a lot of great content on this year’s program. Here’s where I’ll definitely be:

Will the Walking Dead Ever Die? (Panel)

Friday 5:00 pm – 5:50 pm, Marina 4 (Westin)

We’re going to talk about the show, our favorite characters, what almost made us quit watching, and how we’d like it to end. We’ll spoil the hell out of the show, so please attend only if you’re caught up or don’t mind the spoilers. Also, this will be my first panel as a moderator. I’m a little nervous, but I’m excited to geek out about the show, so fingers crossed, this will be a great conversation.

Realistic Artificial Intelligence (Panel)

Friday 7:00 pm – 7:50 pm, Marina 3 (Westin)

The turns in AI have been fascinating the last few years. I’ve been reading up on it for a while now. This panel will pull back the creative curtain around AI and look at where we are now and where we might be headed.

Designing Realistic Clothing in Science Fiction (Panel)

Saturday 12:00 noon – 12:50 pm, Marina 1 (Westin)

My wife laughs that I’m on this panel, because…well, let’s just say I don’t put a lot of thought into my wardrobe. That said, this is a great opportunity to talk about how our characters might dress in given contexts and fantastic situations, and also to groan over tired tropes.

Saturday 4:30 pm – 4:55 pm, Independence (Westin)

I’ve picked a chapter from the next Togahan novel. If you want an inside scoop on where Dante & co. are headed, pop in for a listen! There will be action! And dialog! Do you want cookies? Let me know if you want cookies, and I’ll bring some.

Star Wars and the Rebel Legacy (Panel)

Saturday 9:00 pm – 9:50 pm, Burroughs (Westin)

I’m up to date on the movies, and working my way through Rebels, so this will be a great chat around the Rebellion’s portrayal. It’ll be late, we’ll all be dippy by then, which should make for an interesting conversation.

Let me know if you’ll be there, and I’ll keep an eye out for you!
